In the vast panorama of humanitarian initiatives, some stand out for their unfailing commitment to the well-being of the most vulnerable. Among them, the Sourires d'Enfants association shines like a beacon of hope in the remotest corners of Vietnam, Laos and Benin. Since its creation in 1996, this non-profit organization has taken on the noble and essential mission of offering children in the most deprived regions sustainable access to education, balanced nutrition and good hygiene. Behind this humanitarian project are men and women with generous hearts, driven by the deep conviction that every child deserves a bright future, regardless of where they were born.

Delving into the history of children's smiles

The story of Sourires d'Enfants began in 1996, when two kind-hearted friends, Florence Nguyen-Rouault and Muriel Provost, decided to lend a helping hand to the children of ethnic minorities living in precarious conditions in the highlands of central Vietnam. Their initial commitment, albeit modest, marked the beginning of an exceptional humanitarian adventure. Over the years, the association has grown, but has remained true to its founding principles, always striving to act on a human scale and in a sustainable way.

Sourires d'enfants objectives

Sustainable development objectives guide every Sourires d'Enfants action. Through its educational projects, the association aims to offer children in isolated rural areas sustainable access to education, quality medical care and a balanced diet. But its commitment goes beyond education; it also encompasses women's empowerment, local development and the creation of income-generating activities. By responding to 9 of the 17 United Nations goals, Sourires d'Enfants is fully in line with a global and balanced development approach.

Financial transparency and a committed team

With a remarkable 96% of donations going directly to projects, Sourires d'Enfants is committed to financial transparency and accountability. The association operates exclusively through the selfless commitment of dedicated volunteers who share a vision of a world where every child has the opportunity to flourish and realize his or her potential.

Worldwide presence

From northern Vietnam to southern Laos, via Benin in West Africa, Sourires d'Enfants deploys its efforts wherever the need is greatest. Its actions touch tens of thousands of schoolchildren, building bridges between cultures and forging solid bonds of solidarity and mutual aid.

Smiles that light up the future: Changing the world together

Sourires d'Enfants embodies hope and compassion in a world often marked by adversity. Through its bold initiatives and unwavering commitment, the association shows that in every child's smile lies the potential to change the world. By offering a brighter future to future generations, Sourires d'Enfants lights the way to a fairer, more egalitarian future for all.
