With every bean grown, dried and roasted, Cabou Coffee combines justice, excellence and terroir.

Cabou Coffee, l’arôme du changement | What The Web

What if a cup of coffee could tell a story? A story of know-how, cooperation, dignity and taste. This is exactly what Cabou Coffee proposes, a company born in 2016 from a partnership between Burundian producer cooperatives and a passionate team, determined to make one of Africa's finest coffees shine. Here, there's no hollow marketing or smooth promises: every bean has an origin, every cup a mission.

Grown with care

Cabou coffee comes from northern Burundi, at an altitude of 1,800 meters, in the Kayanza region. A mountainous area with rich soils, ideal for growing a 100% bourbon arabica with a unique taste profile. The hand-picked cherries are then sorted first by the growers themselves, then a second time at the Munkaze washing station, run with their partner BUJA CAFE 15 Plus. This is true craftsmanship, guided by quality and respect for tradition.

A controlled process

At the station, nothing is left to chance. The cherries are washed, fermented, sorted according to density, then soaked again in clean water. The result? A washed coffee of the highest quality, with a deep, silky, fruity taste. This attention to detail at every stage earned Cabou second place in the 2018 Cup of Excellence, a competition that rewards the country's best coffees. A recognition worthy of their high standards.

Unique taste, lasting impact

But Cabou isn't just about taste. It's also a strong commitment to producers. By promoting their know-how, ensuring a fair price and exporting their coffee worldwide, the brand contributes to local economic emancipation. An approach that brings fairness to an industry often marked by inequality. Because good coffee is good. But drinking meaningful coffee is even better.

Africa in every cup

Cabou doesn't just sell a product. It tells the story of a proud, competent Africa, capable of offering the best to the world. All in a way that respects the environment and people. A company that understands that quality is not a question of labels, but of human relationships, patience and transmission.

And what if responsible consumption was just that?

Behind every espresso, a human chain. Cabou reminds us that fair trade can also be delicious.
