Your website with Claude

The What The Web app

What The Web can be added to Claude (Anthropic). Once added, you work on your website and your internal documentation by talking with Claude, with the access of your What The Web account.

Connect

In Claude: Settings › Connectors, find What The Web and click Connect.

In Claude Code or another MCP client: add the server https://mcp.whattheweb.org. With Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http whattheweb https://mcp.whattheweb.org, then /mcp to sign in.

Then sign in with your What The Web email and password, or with Google if your account was created with Google, and authorize access.

What the assistant can do

  • List your websites and their pages, read the content of a page
  • Edit a text, a style or a block, add a page or an image
  • Search and update your internal documentation (Memory)
  • Read your Admin data and propose changes

Always on a draft

Every website change lands on a draft, with a preview link. The assistant publishes nothing: publishing is done in Admin What The Web. A change to your data goes through a proposal you accept in the Admin, except the rows of your own lists, applied at once.

Your data

The assistant only reaches the websites and data of the signed-in account. What The Web receives what the assistant asks it, not your conversation. To cut access, disconnect What The Web in Claude's settings.
