Since its creation, L'Outil en Main has been committed to a noble mission: to introduce young people, from the age of 9, to manual trades, crafts and heritage. Guided by experienced and passionate volunteers, often retired professionals, children explore various trades in real workshops, shaping their future with their own hands.

Enhancing the value of manual trades: a tradition handed down from generation to generation

L'Outil en Main strives to promote all manual trades to young people. Through fun and educational workshops, children discover the wealth of over 100 different trades, from the tile to the bread oven. This early immersion allows children to explore their potential and understand the importance of these trades in our society.

A bridge to the future : Personal and professional fulfillment

L'Outil en Main workshops offer much more than technical skills. They enable young people to develop their dexterity, self-confidence and sensitivity to their environment. For those struggling at school or in fragile situations, it's a lifeline, a chance to regain self-confidence and blossom.

The power of volunteers: Guardians of transmission

At the heart of this initiative are the volunteers, the true guardians of intergenerational transmission. Their commitment and expertise are essential to inspiring young people and keeping the flame of traditional craftsmanship alive. Each workshop is unique, shaped by local volunteers, but all share the same passion and dedication.

L'Outil en Main France: A network for mutual aid and self-fulfilment

L'Outil en Main France federates all local associations, providing them with the support and structure they need to develop. Thanks to this union, the network can promote its values and actions on a national scale, while retaining the very essence of its project: the transmission of knowledge and values.

Together, let's build a future of passion and transmission

L'Outil en Main is much more than just an association: it's a beacon of hope and opportunity for the younger generation. By cultivating passions, passing on knowledge and opening doors to unexplored horizons, this initiative offers children the chance to discover themselves, to blossom and to dream big. Through every gesture, every exchange and every smile shared in the L'Outil en Main workshops, a portrait of a radiant future emerges, where manual trades are valued, tradition is celebrated and transmission is a promise of renewal.
